BABY JAMES!
He decided to make his debut at 10:47 pm, January 23rd. The labor went well, once we were actually admitted. I started feeling contractions Wednesday morning around 10:00 am, and they continued to increase steadily until Saturday around 4:00pm when we went to the hospital (for the third time). We all cheered when they announced I was dialated to a 4 and could stay. By 6:00 pm I had my epidural in and was able to rest for the first time in four days. By 10:15 I was ready to push, and 32 minutes later James came into this world.The stats: 8 lbs., 20 inches, loads of cuteness and dark hair.
We are so grateful to have my mother here to help us for two weeks. She arrived around noon on Saturday, just in the nick of time!
We are all doing well, despite the expected lack of sleep. Dan will return to work tomorrow. It has been nice for him to take a few days off.
We think our little boy is beautiful and that he looks like his Daddy.
Thanks to all of you out there who were thinking about us and praying for us. The Lord has truly blessed us.
