We've been pretty limited in our escapades since we got here. Having Dan working 12 hours a day doesn't support our cause of "seeing the state" very much. But we've managed to do some things so here they are.
Once upon a Saturday we went with the Arnold family down to the farmer's market and to the Washington State Capitol in downtown Olympia. We had a great time checking out the cool architecture, running around and taking lots of pictures.
Dan, Dalton, and Abby being statues in front of the statue...get it? I don't know, it was funny at the time.
The cherry trees in blossom. I could not believe all the flowering trees and bushes when I first got here. They are everywhere and so lush! I love it.
There is a palm tree by the capitol in Washington! We couldn't believe it, so we took a picture. We've seen several more in people's yards around town now so we realized it's not such a novelty, but seriously Washington just isn't the tropical oasis that one would typically associate with palm trees. Thus, our shock and awe.
The other day we had a BBQ with the Arnolds and the Whites and Priest Point Park. We had a great spread (with an abundance of pasta salads) and some delish meat that the boys so expertly managed on the grill. Plus the kids had a blast playing on the pirate ship playground (yeah, it's pretty cool). Then we topped off the night with a little frisbee throwing. Here's a shot of Dan and Aaron and their skills.

Wow! It's so green and beautiful there. Looks like you guys are having a great time! :) Congrats on graduating and getting a real job.
