Potato, Potata, Missouri, Missoura

We've been all moved in and basically settled for a while now, so I guess I should update a few things, eh?
We've had a pretty mild winter so far.  We were welcomed to our new home state with a little bit-o white our second day here, but besides one other storm we've enjoyed some pretty nice weather.
The move went down without a hitch thanks to our great moving crew from Minnesota.  Dan got to stay home for a whole week and help with the unpacking.  So within a couple of days we had nearly everything out of boxes and most of our things in their semi-permanent places.  Our rental house has an unfinished basement, so Dan took advantage of the space and the abundance of boxes to build a little box fort.

We are enjoying the beauty of the landscape.  The trees, rolling hills and abundant wildlife are a blessed relief after the bare monotony of Oklahoma.  And although we still prefer the snow capped peaks of the West we are finding our place and enjoying our time here thus far.  (Pictured below is a woodpecker spotted in the woods behind our house).

  1. So glad your move went well! Reading your post made me homesick. My parents live a few hours from you! Enjoy those Misourra hills!
